If we had one (and only one) set of dinosaur bones to base shit off of, and that one and only set was faked, then you'd have a point.

But many such bones exist, similar to how many Rolexes exist. So bringing up some fraudster who tried to profit off fake ones does not automatically prove all are fake.

So you've created a strawman based on one case that "demonologists" who aren't present in this thread use as their best case? Who fucking cares? Again I can just appeal to the numerous faked fossils that paleontologists used as their best case for the existence of hominid evolution and write off the whole thing using your standard.

"They argued it in court!" so what? Courts aren't how we determine whether or not supernatural entities are real. Neither is empiricism - anyone trying to measure the supernatural doesn't understand what they've tasked themselves with.

Hell, courts aren't how we determine truth even in the context that they were created for. "Beyond a reasonable doubt" doesn't imply certainty, merely that it's the most reasonable conclusion based on the evidence that we have. I'm sure you'd agree that courts have ruled improperly on more than one occasion so applying your "muh court" standard I can just brush this aside as another one they got wrong.
