it may have been years later. What I’m saying is that after his conviction she would have told Pat to fuck off and just go their seperate ways and as long as he didn’t bother them again they won’t drag him to court. Maybe this agreement we see was technically in effect for a while and he just never tried to excercise his visitation right because he knew she had the nuke that could end it and fuck him over since she wasn’t asking for any money. So he just let it go until Jon adopted, whenever that was.

Nah, I don't think that scenario is likely, no matter how poor he is/was.

All I was trying to point out is that Ade seemed to generously let Pat off the hook with child support, and I don't think signing away parental rights was on the table at that point. It makes ZERO sense that they would file for joint custody for an unborn child if this was on the foreseeable horizon.

Assuming the law did not change in the past decade or so, from a federal perspective, Patrick cannot legally claim Annabelle on his taxes as a dependent if Annabelle did not live with him for that filing year for 6 months and one day.

If Patrick did claim Annabelle as a dependent any year since we've known about him, that's tax fraud, regardless of whether the Wisconsin court order allowed it.
