Not that it would apply in this case since he isn't even halfway through the first draft and it's such a broad and retarded concept, but my 30 seconds of research (basically makes me copyright lawyer) says you can't copyright ideas.
If it does get taken down it'll either be because of that's usually the first course of action since big corps don't want the bullshit, or it will be for the couple of spicy racial comments or whatever, but I don't know how big amazon is on content moderation.

I don't think Amazon cares about that stuff. During the whole Kyrie Irving controversy, people were bitching that the movie he was plugging was racist and anti-semitic. They wanted Amazon to remove it and Amazon completely ignored them.

Why doesn't he just self-publish at this point? His last book had no publicity at all, it's not like the publisher was doing anything special for him. Just bang out a book, publish it on Amazon like this one, and promote it on your Twitter with more than 50k followers. If just 10% of your followers buy it, that's 5,000 copies sold. Sell it for 5 bucks and that's 25k in profit.
I'm guessing he wants his books published just so he has that proof that Mama Raven's Special Boy has books in print and is Very Important and Very Famous. Also he won't do the above because he knows that 50k number is fake as fuck and he only has 5-10k active followers and most of them don't care enough about him to buy his books.
