Listen, I've been a Shower Rocker since the old days, when I had to let my phone hang in a zipper baggy from the shower head.. Or when I had to prop the docking speaker on my 1 of many sinks as I showered. Honestly that was a damn good setup. Reach out and hit the Skip button.

Nowadays, if you say 'SIRI, SKIP THIS SONG' or any other iteration of that sentiment, The dumb fuck phone goes haywire and lowers the volume (so SIRI can speak) all the way down to 5%, AND it doesn't go back to normal! So that you have to manually get out of the shower, go to the speaker AND phone, turn the volume up, and sometimes that doesn't even work. It gets stuck that way! Fucking ridiculous.

The worst technology is advertising technology. Banner ads, video ads, pop up ads, audio ads. Live videos ads at the gas pump now. There are entire teams of people who instead of working on making a faster internet are just working on more ways to serve unblockable ads into your browser and your phone.

In China they have it so that if you are in a public area you have to watch an ad for everything. Like if you want to activate the hand dryer in the bathroom you need to watch an ad on a monitor first. Or before the subway trains depart from each stop they do an advertisement over the PA system. Can't wait until this stuff starts happening in the US.

Yes but it only mutes it for a minute or two. Then it starts blaring once again.

Another dogshit aspect of new technology is the subscription model. No longer can you own anything. You have to rent your movies, games, office software, and so on. Soon you will be renting your operating systems and browsers. And probably renting things like your thermostat or washing machine or your car. Or forcing you to watch ads to start your car.

I can't wait until we get 'social media scores' and the government can instantly terminate your car ignition remotely.
