Yesterday, or the day before yesterday, thousands of construction workers in Melbourne protested in the streets on foot, shut down major highways, and literally kicked the shit out of cop cars and ran them off. One cop car drove through a pack of these protestors - luckily everybody got out of the way - and if a civilian had done this, it would have been considered domestic terrorism. The protesting took place because construction sites are getting mandates that "if you wanna work here, you gotta get the jab". Tradies are furious; all they wanna do is go to work and drink iced coffee with their pie for lunch.

My mate's parents are conservative boomers, and even they're against the cops now.

So... business is picking up here. They've loosened restrictions in Melbourne, but cunts are going crazy.

If it's kept up, cops will start resigning. Which they should, because it's a bullshit job in Australia. Fourteen years ago you could walk to the shops smoking weed, if a cop pulled up, he'd either tell you to throw it in the bin, or he'd grab it from you and drive off and smoke the rest. I don't know who you're talking about exactly, but the politicians don't resemble citizens at all now. Even older politicians who've since retired are urging citizens not to take the vax and to tell the government to fuck off. I don't know whether it's disheartening, or it should make us enthusiastic.

I kinda feel like... I dunno, we're breaking through to the other side or something. They're trying to break us, and then the outcome is "well, you couldn't, so what now?" It's bizarre. Every place has its mask laws, but you can walk around drinking a bottle of water and nobody says anything.

And yeah, ordinarily, people should visit us. It's a fun country.
