I say that all the time but I'm a faggot.I'm not going to pretend I'm a huge reader but for some of you nerds out there, are editors typically given the spotlight like this? i know with movies editing can make or break a film but still i've never in my life heard someone say "you gotta see this movie, the editing is amazing"
I give her credit for not being a reactionary cunt and also telling people to not engage with trolls. Still a stinky negress but credit where credit is due.No one asked, but this chick did a detailed breakdown of his 3 days detained claim
No. There's no such thing as a "superstar editor", especially in the literary world. This is literally the equivalent of a participation trophy. He is to prose what Adam Libby is to culinary arts - a retard propped up for diversity points and for exceeding very low expectations.I'm not going to pretend I'm a huge reader but for some of you nerds out there, are editors typically given the spotlight like this? i know with movies editing can make or break a film but still i've never in my life heard someone say "you gotta see this movie, the editing is amazing"
Felony having fun on the internet alog child.Wait guys, did we OK it with Null before we reported him to ICE? He might not be cool with us doing that
There is one exception to this that I know of, a series of books called eg The Best Science Writing 2018, The Best Sports Writing 2022 etc. The cover would say "The Best Science Writing 2018 Compiled by Steven Pinker" or some other famous person in that field.No. There's no such thing as a "superstar editor", especially in the literary world. Their true opinion of him is betrayed by how they're handling this situation - coddling him like a retard who couldn't comprehend basic instructions.
Very true, even in film an editor does A LOT more than an editor of a book. I worked in film / tv in post production roles and it’s not even close to what a book editor does. With tv / film editing you can make a villain look like a hero with the right cuts and vis versa, also what cut / angles to use to tell the story properly so it’s understood by the viewing audience and also gives the film a certain feel. For example Martin Scorsese has used the same editor - Thelma Schoonmaker - for all his films which is why you can tell his films just by watching them and how she cuts it together. She’s just as important as he is with direction and presentation of the story.No. There's no such thing as a "superstar editor", especially in the literary world. That’s what’s so disgusting, they actually have him reading and signing copies of books at events he edited, not even books he wrote one word for and make him the star and not the actual African writers. I really believe many that praise him on twitter like Pat don’t even realize he’s an editor and obviously never read any of his original work while claiming he’s amazing. There is one exception to this that I know of, a series of books called eg The Best Science Writing 2018, The Best Sports Writing 2022 etc. The cover would say "The Best Science Writing 2018 Compiled by Steven Pinker" or some other famous person in that field.
They're really giving him top billing over the actual authors
In the case of movies they do often get credit by people who are more knowledgeable in filmmaking. Making a movie is an inherently collaborative process and writers, producers, cinematographers and editors are often as important to its success as the director.I'm not going to pretend I'm a huge reader but for some of you nerds out there, are editors typically given the spotlight like this? i know with movies editing can make or break a film but still i've never in my life heard someone say "you gotta see this movie, the editing is amazing"

Very true, with editing in my tv / film experience the story producer (tv) or director (film) will be in the editing bay with the editor going over scenes to get them right and use different takes / angles and even re shoots / pick ups to get it right. That’s why you see “directors cut” because the studio got involved and made them change things or in tv it’s the “network notes” to make changes. I think Kevin Smith edited his early movies since he knew what he was trying to get for a final product. In the case of movies they do often get credit by people who are more knowledgeable in filmmaking. With books though? I don't think I've ever seen editors get top billing. 90% of the work is done by the author and editors act more like proofreaders in a lot of cases. That's why this situation seems so bizarre to me. Oggywoggy and the two ladies hog the spotlight for compiling a bunch of short stories, while the people that actually wrote them get ugatz? It doesn't make any fucking sense.

I don't understand how she knows exactly went on. She wasn't there. His story will continue to fall apart until even these people can't defend him.
It's our country, blackamoor. We'll do what we damn well please. Get hacked to death by a Hutu death squad
