Pat loves to try and use technicalities but in court he got bit by the same thing. the judge felt what he said was escalation and there was nothing pat could say to change his mind. It was glorious hearing him get shushed and have to accept it. Pat had to be a baby at the end on asking where to get the appeal paperwork but he never even acted on it. He just was trying to get the last word.
The judge could have told Pat to shut his fucking mouth, but just because you have the power to do something doesn't mean you should. The ability to show restraint is one of the reasons why the judge sits behind a bench while Pat presents "Why Elon Musk is a Poopiehead" to a room full of rejects.

This was after Pat had used his "I don't spend very much time in court" line. He doesn't realize that he loses credibility every time he says something that's clearly false.
That arguing with the judge one is incredible. The judge says something, Pat argues he's wrong - without evidence, just nuh-uh. The judge cites Pat's own words, and Pat tries to argue... what, exactly? That he can say what he likes with impunity? So the judge raises his voice to make a point - always a good sign - and Pat just rolls his eyes and sighs.
Pat is so incredibly lucky that the judge gave him the leeway a decent man would give a retard, despite his snotty attitude.

He's so dumb he thought this was a slam dunk case. He thought this was going to be his first victory against the trolls. Something he could oink about on Twitter for weeks and months to come. All he had to do was show up. And he probably could have won if his thinkin meats were operating at even 25% capacity. He could have shown up with his witnesses. If they lied and said BDA was threatening him, he might have gotten the RO. Maybe. The judge might have still sided with BDA once he saw Pat's "911 will just be there for cleanup" text. But if he had come prepared and wasn't a cunt to the judge, the judge might have granted the order. Instead he showed up unprepared, copped an attitude with the judge and then lied about his texts and once the judge saw through that, it was all over for Rick.
There's also a little hint into his thought process when the whole "What did you think was going to happen today?" took place and Rick's answer was "I thought I was going to be heard". We all know he has some capeshit scenario made up in his head where this was going to be the incident that sparked a criminal case that ended with this place shut down and hundreds of people in jail for calling him fat and laughing at him.
