The first KotOR is good too. Earthbound is great.

Played KoTOR 1 for the first time about 5 years ago. During that period I was playing the Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes mobile game as well. Caught wind of the upcoming Revan event and decided to read about him. Twist completely ruined. I'm a fawkin retard and I regret it to this day. I tried to put myself in the shoes of someone who had no idea what was coming but there's no way it could be the same experience.

Great game though.

FFVII and FFT. I'm trying to think of others that I would consider GOAT but can't think of them. Chrono Trigger and New Vegas were great. Triangle Strategy on Switch is good for fans of FFT. If we are talking about ALL types of RPGs, then Bloodborne and Elden Ring would be on that list.

The last good one I played was Marvel's Midnight Suns, but it is buggy as shit and lots of it is boring.

I’ve talked about this game before, but I can’t recommend Skies of Arcadia enough. Loved sailing through the sky and exploring the world.

Aidan Chronicles: The First Mage was buggy as hell and certainly not the same quality as many of the titles in this thread, but I always liked it. I like the rotating cast of characters.

The first RPG, I ever played was Shining Force on the Game Gear. It wasn't until years later when FFVII on the PS. That I started to appreciate them.

Mother 3 or Earthbound. I enjoyed. Playing on the SNES Mini.

Ultima I: The First Age of Darkness

The most unusual cheat I ever found was in this game, where if you lifted the eject lever on the disk drive part way at just the right time so the disk would slip a little while it's spinning, you would be randomly teleported in the game's time machine without having to go through all the proper steps to get to the time machine.

I want to play Diablo 4 because I never played a Diablo, but I still haven't finished TOTK and I got SF6 and barely played it. Diablo looks like Monster Hunter in that the player can dump a 1000 hours into mindless grinding easily.

Diablo 4 is in a weird spot right now. It's fun until you hit end game and it's really riding on how they change things up on the first season. I'm holding out some hope but I would just play Diablo 2. It takes time to get into it if you never played it before but once it clicks you can waste hours on it.
