Lonely pedos always trawled the internet since the beginning, the difference is now kids have unabated internet access
The thing i’m noticing between generations and internet access:

Boomers had and have no concept of what the internet is. They can only offer stupid platitudes like “Don’t believe what you see” while being brain rotted by Facebook.

Millennials and similar generations went absolutely retarded. They got “enlightened” through shit on the internet and remember early Facebook and AOL chat rooms. They have no qualms about kids with internet access and are the shitty parents you see who have their babies glued to iPads by 2.

Zoomers will absolutely be the best generation to teach people about the internet because we got in at the perfect time to not be glued to it by birth but to be on it at the time our brains were developing to realize how fucked up it is. The constant thing I hear from people my age is “I’m not giving my kid a phone until he’s like 14”.

Idk about that one because everyone i know drinks to the point of being an alcoholic. They don’t smoke cigarettes because that usually requires standing around and or socializing. The health risks don’t mean shit to them no matter what they say because they love vaping.
The numbers show they drink less than any generation in history. Maybe it’s more to do with the number of immigrants from shitty cultures that don’t drink. Or maybe they’re all just pussies and get wasted on 3 extra hoppy craft beers.

I’m on the lower side of millennial and I didn’t have high speed internet until high school. I think a solid percentage might have “grown up” on the internet but it’s smaller than you think. I consider zoomers way more addicted to the internet. Scrolling TikTok for hours is way worse for you than chatting on AIM with your classmates after school. I never really knew about chat rooms though. I believe your stance on boomers there is 100% correct.

I think you’re right because coloreds do drink less than whites and as we know their populations increase with every generation. I also think its a generational thing. A lot of people grew up with alcoholic parents and see the dangers of going too far. Plus I think weed replaced alcohol. Everyone I knew growing up smoked weed and you were looked at as a minority if you drank underage. It’s about the availability, the “cool” factor, and the fact that Zoomers associate alcohol with its health risks like they do cigarettes. This generation is super impressionable to “This thing has less harmful effects” meaning “no harmful effects”, so you see an influx of stoners and vape addicts.

Why are zoomers more likely to be gay or trans?
Males exposed to phthalates as children have half the testosterone throughout the course of their lifetime as someone who has little to no phthalate exposure. They permanently reduce testosterone production for life. Less testosterone = less male hormones = gay frogs. If you have boys, specifically, avoid all plastics.

No that was sort of my point. Millennials only concept of the internet is AIM chat rooms and early Facebook and they don’t understand how streamlined and vapid it’s gotten. They go “I grew up on the internet, how bad can it be?” They grew up on the internet but what they got was primitive to the internet I grew up on. I sort of got in at the golden point because I remember when Youtube first came out and social media didn’t get huge until I was in middle / high school. Kids today don’t have to wait for that kind of development or access to the internet. Now they’re 2 and get an iPad and their dumb fuck mom starts a social media page and gets them scrolling through tiktok. If my generation is obsessed having only gained the internet at 12 I can only imagine these people getting it before they’re even conscious.

Well for starters, there’s retarded people in all generations and they’re the actual problem. I also saw the internet go from MySpace being kind of a cool place where you could personalize your layout, add music, and reply to bulletins to Instagram which is 99% just vapid nonsense. Please don’t think that I’m arguing with you. This is a great thread in general.

I don’t even think internet access is a problem as much as it is social media access. It fries your fucking brain. The only reason I stopped visiting social media sites obsessively is because I replaced it with this place, even though i couldnt tell you what I was opening Twitter / Instagram for other than a compulsive need or feeling like you’re missing out. This doesn’t even get into the other issues. The first being that people (mainly in my generation) essentially now have two personalities now: Them online and them IRL. Their online personality is finely crafted to get as much likes as possible because likes = validation, and theres no disconnect between real world validation and someone just liking your post. What gets the most likes? Showing off your body. So then you get women oversexualizing themselves because they’re encouraged to do so through this online validation. Who gets the most likes? The super models with surgery and who edit their photos, so most of these people are trying to attain something they never can not even because they want it, but because it will bring them those sweet updoots and soothe their mind.

This is what I mean when i say my generation is acutely aware of how dangerous social media is. So many of the people I know are trapped in this feedback loop and even if they’re aware of it don’t know how to get out.

Vapes are so fucking bad for you. The data are not even clear if they’re less harmful. I was at a conference and a respirologist was speaking about how vapes fill your lungs with aerosolized heavy metal particles.

I remember when I made my MySpace I was so excited and made my whole theme Fall Out Boy. I got in a verbal altercation with someone during gym class one day and they called me a fag for my MySpace. I had nothing to say back and I went home and deleted it. Sniff

That’s actually pretty sad. It’s funny now but that probably sucked.
