It's hilarious to me they spent 2-3 hours on ESPN saying nothing but "everyone is praying for this kid... no one wants the game to go on."

Meanwhile, not one of these faggots has the balls to say what is really going on. People have millions of dollars at stake in various fantasy football league championships and the game has major playoff implications. This was not just some regular football game that can get cancelled. It sucks for the kid, but there's a lot of other shit going on here that these reporters were too gutless to say.
I don’t have sympathy for gamblers. If you can’t afford to lose it, don’t bet it

They didn’t even stop the game when Dennis Byrd got paralyzed. Now with it postponed will be interesting what Roger Goodell does since he gets shit as it is related to players health. The bills player will pretty much have to be sitting up in a hospital bed giving the thumbs up for the public to be ok finishing the game.

The NFL has made their bottom line interests pretty transparent, not to mention they've put their relationship with sports gambling front and center for the last several years; for them to expect us to believe it's been all "prayers up" and that the financial implications of this event haven't been discussed heavily behind the scenes this entire time is ridiculous.

The NFL as an organization is pretty ruthless but will continue to skate in the public eye because no one wants to actually turn the game off. It was only like two months ago that we all collectively held our breath hoping Tua wasn't made a vegetable in prime time when he had no business even being on the field and now everyone just thinks he sucks.
The NFL was so against sports betting until it was legal and they partnered with sports betting companies / casinos and now you cant watch a game without the spread being mentioned. I remember not long ago Gronk getting in trouble for hosting a pool party at a Vegas casino because it was a casino and they had sports betting. Amazon paying over a billion dollars for Thursday night football was due to sports betting / fantasy football betting because those games were always shit.

ESPN gets 99% of its advertising money from gambling at this point. They are barely a media organization and more like a gambling promotion company at this point.

I don't disagree with you. However, if you watch any NFL football whatsoever you know how much in bed they are now with the gambling sites and Vegas. There's advertisements for DraftKings, Fanduel, Caesars, etc. every 30 seconds. This was the last game of the final week of fantasy football (i.e. championship). This was not just any football game that can be cancelled or forfeited without pissing off fans.
What do you think will happen if he dies? Can they just play tomorrow? Maybe if he survives ole Broken-Heart can watch from the bench.

They will play the game out because it has major Super Bowl implications between two leading teams. Only question for the NFL is optics and how this sets a precedence for the future. Likely the lawyers are putting together something and discussing it with the owners because this affects every team in the future should this happen again.

They put the spread and O/U right on the screen for every game. That’s something I never thought I’d see, Jimmy The Greek had to sneak it on the air back in the 80s, saying things like “I think the Colts will win - but by less than a touchdown”

His vitals being stable doesn't mean shit. You really think they did cpr for 10 minutes and intubated him and everything just went back to normal?
It pretty much did in the Fabrice Mumba case. He was dead for 78 miniutes and although he has to retire wasn't really physically ( for a non athlete) or mentally incapacitated from it all. This was a decade ago and he's now a football coach
