We have old gay couples who have been married for two decades that are now against the trans movement. In Massachusetts, you can be openly gay and conservative and it makes sense.

It's a very diverse place.

Absolutely true how the word fag in Boston became just another word. Gays would use the word in frustration all the time.

I was in high school when the state legalized gay marriage and even back then there were gay conservatives who weren't all for it and preferred the civil partnership option.
