Costa Rica is a tourist country, way too bougie. Also priced accordingly, car rental rates are 2x other countries, same with hotels. The gulf coast's main city Limon is black and getting blacker with Jamaican immigrants. The locals look like half inland empire cholos and the only shit looks I ever got in latam was from some asshole while I was in a chinese-run grocery store trying to get to the coast. Pura vida indeed. Best bodysurfing to date though.
