Deep sea, fresh water, fly fishing, I love it all. I haven’t been in a few years and I kinda am upset at myself for it. Sometimes life gets hard and you just wanna spend a day out at sea, hunting a monster fish that you’ll throw back, but keep a couple of eating sized ones that you’ll promptly filet on the dock. As always, an ice cold road soda for the end of the day. Maybe a cigarette, if that’s your thing.

It’s all about the fight and respect for the fawkin ocean.

I fucking love fishing and spend a good amount of my spare time in the spring/summer/early fall getting hammered while fishing in a kayak. I'm kinda stoked for ice fishing. I have yet to get a decent sized walleye through the ice.

I was lucky enough to grow up in an area of Milwaukee where I spent a lot of time deep sea fishing with my dad, my uncle, and his crazy, alcoholic friend. Loved every second of it.

Imagine fighting a monster like this and seeing that giant mouth break the surface for the first time, after a solid hour of fierce combat on a blazing, sunny afternoon about 10 miles out?

You guys should get back at it when you get a chance. Even if I've had a frustrating amount of shit go wrong or didn't catch anything I've never regretted going fishing.

I’ve only been a few times and it truly is an art form, but once you get the basics down it is incredibly fun. Every fish feels like a giant.

For my 13th or 14th birthday I got a pole and tackle box. I went down to the lake and started fishing. I walked away from my pole for a bit to check something out with my friend, as we are getting back I'm within feet of the pole and I see it just gets dragged right into the water. I was so disappointed as a kid. I even braced it against a root and it still went flying into the drink

It’s very zen. Sometimes you’re gonna get tangled. Just get through it and keep goin, brothaman. My dad made me learn how to fish with a bait caster for bass when I was like 10, and to untangle my own birds nests. It sucked at the time but I used to alpha all my buddies by using a grown up fishing pole at the canal

We don't live in the same state, but when I visit it's must. He lives in Dallas and there's no way I'm going out fishing if it's 104 outside

I've caught smaller ones and had a crazy fight with a huge muskie but lost it at the boat because my buddy was being a faggot about netting it. I'm usually going for bass when I'm just out in the kayak because they put up a fun fight but they can't pull me around and I ideally don't want to deal with something that can bite me when I'm in the kayak. I got a big ass pike one time that I had to let pull me to the bank so I could stand up and bring it in on land.

I've also never caught a salmon and I have tons of opportunities to do that around here. I caught my first trout this summer from a canoe.
