Did you ever get one of those peacock bass in Florida? Those things are cool as fuck.
They fight pretty good. Also can be fun to catch in a fly rod. You ever see those trips they have down in South America for giant peacock bass? Pretty wild stuff.

It’s very zen. Sometimes you’re gonna get tangled. Just get through it and keep goin, brothaman. My dad made me learn how to fish with a bait caster for bass when I was like 10, and to untangle my own birds nests. It sucked at the time but I used to alpha all my buddies by using a grown up fishing pole at the canal 😎
I feel like learning to use a bait caster is important and completely changes your game for the better. You can cast exactly where you want to. I can reliably untangle a bird's nest of braided line in no time. I have more problems with spinning reels. I take one of each but I'm usually just trolling a Kelly's worm with the spinning reel.

Same. Spinning reels when I have to but prefer baitcasters. Just have a better feel on it
