And PPIs if used too much long-term can sometimes lead to severe vitamin deficiency/hypocalcemia or hypomagnesemia, crumbly bones, gut infection or kidney damage/nephritis, so I hope you find a better way to beat this thing that works for you.
However, if you find omeprazole if all that works, take it anyway. You don't want to die of ulcers, either (cf. Jack_Horner's posts earlier in thread)
