I had some very tentative interest but the standardized pop music mix trailer made me want to barf.

Rod Steiger in Waterloo was fucking masterful. I've warmed to Huwakeen a bit but this looks like trash.

Hollywood plans out retarded comic book hero storylines for over a decade but this is the shit they decide to condense in a single movie.

I guarantee that this flick absolutely would never have even been considered to be made if it wasn't for Ridley Scott pushing it, probably. One last big epic to crown off his career and it's likely gonna be lackluster at best.

I have and it's honestly almost on par with documentary series like the World at War or The Vietnam War, if we account for budget and ressources available.
Crazy how good writing, use of tempo, copyright free music and a charismatic narrator can make you care for an animated map and zoom ins on 200 year old paintings.

Poor guy peaked with his first movie, which is ironically a Napoleonic movie.
It's a shame David Lean didn't live 30 more years to make his Napoleon epic. Or Kubrick for that matter.

Prometheus stunk so fucking bad. The premise is soft sci fi to the point of being completely retarded if you have even a basic understanding of biology but it would've still been decent had the plot and writing had been on par but they were godawful too. The only redeemable part was the genuinely harrowing abortion scene and maybe fact they featured an extinct constructed language, I guess.

A lot of contrived build up that led to nothing but dumb shit and from what I heard of the sequel it's little different.
