I read a interview with him from the other day where he said he has a list of people playing the show to avoid because he trashed them so much.

He’s trashed everyone except for Richard Ashcroft, he’s a good egg. But I have no interest in watching him trot out Live Forever for beach junkie.

Well, it isn't a strange assumption to make, if you have a tribute concert for a musician don't you normally perform their music?

I would have assumed there would be a few FF songs sprinkled in but most bands will play their own music, not 6 hours of one bands cover songs.

They won’t even say why he died which is weird because every other musician they always bring up if they OD.

The drug screen came out a couple of days after he died. He mixed heroin and benzos. He officially died of an overdose.
