You're full of shit, the salaries are the same for anyone and with amazon they are sometimes double what normal jobs pay in florida, they pay NY salaries wherever they go. In my case I hire subs so I don't set any salaries, I get prices from the people I hire and then I pay them what they ask for. It is like you are desperate to excuse yourself from problems you created. I never once mentioned "working harder" I mentioned "showing up and doing your job" it really is that simple in most cases. Nobody will say "This guy does a good job, too bad he's white" that is really the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
As for the refugees and immigrants, people in NYC, NJ and CT love them. they are welcome here, most are pushing to get them expedited green cards so they can get regular jobs and start paying taxes, you seem to regurgitate right wing nonsense whether it applies to the conversation or not. If you're over 18 and have trouble finding a job, or a job that is good enough for you, try showing up and doing it first, see how that works out.

All I can speak for is what I witnessed down in Florida and this was pretty spot on. I started noticing more foreigners in construction admin jobs the last few years and all of the sudden there were few jobs to be found and the listings were all for ridiculously low wages.
Business owners down in Florida are scum bags. They absolutely do not give a shit about anything but how cheap they can get any labor. The owners of one company I worked for boasted that they had the lowest wages in the area. A guy I knew got a big promotion and commensurate raise, then after a few months knocked him back down to his original salary. They didn't even tell him - just did it. When he went to them about it, they said he should try to find a job somewhere else. The husband and wife that owned that company just bought a new RV, boat, and second vacation home that year.
They knew full well that they could hire cheap immigrant labor to do the jobs, so they told a guy that worked for them for 10 years - and who's father worked for them for prob 20 - to hit the bricks. Fucking scumbag move.
Another company had a policy of no talking while at work. They had massive turnover and they just couldn't be bothered to give a shit. It's fucked down there.
Yes in their neighborhoods also, depending on what they can afford, it has never been a problem in and around NYC or Boston. They work, they make enough to survive without papers and they do much better once they have green cards. It seems the right wingers are the ones trying to prevent the green cards and seem to be the ones hiring and abusing them, especially in flyover country where they work in meat packing plants at age 12 or clean walmarts from midnight to 10 AM. Most people around here in the NE are pushing for expedited green cards so they can start paying taxes and SS. As for economics, they produce far more than they take out of the economy, entire cities down south and in the mid-west would collapse without them.

Any of their neighborhoods in NE, which they take over from White flight, are all renting and sit on their porches smoking weed and drinking corona all day. No one wants mass Mexicans and South Americans in their neighborhoods.

That could be why they can't find people to show up for work, I've never dealt with any companies like that. I just finished a job in fort pierce where I forced the owner to show me the pay stubs, I9s and IDs of his crew because looking at them I would swear they were all 14 years old. I assume he just hired kids right out of high school, all of the older guys on the crew had new trucks and were at the site every morning waiting when I opened the gates. I wouldn't do it, but you could call INS any time and screw over any company hiring illegals or paying cash but even then, who is the problem? A bunch of central americans who show up and work or the asshole who tries to get away with shit pay so he can buy a 2nd boat?
Most of the companies I deal with in Florida are NY or Chicago companies who have an office down there so I don't know many of the redneck companies.
