Post your gear. Was the JM your first electric? Are you having any issues with the intonation or string height? Those tremolos on JMs and Jaguars are notorious for having tuning stability.
I'll post it after it's professionally set up. I had to order it online and I didn't want to fuck anything up trying to set it up myself so I just took it to my local store. I went with the J Mascis one as I heard good things compared to the other Squire Jazzmasters. Arrived yesterday so I took it over to the store and should be done this week. It's definitely a step up from my $199 Squire Strat. I just picked up the cheapest one they had as my first electric guitar to see if it was something I was into. The Strat is great though definitely keeping it.

Great choice with the JMJM, it has a Gibson type tune o’matic bridge that is different from the traditional Fender JM/Jaguar bridges that have issues due to its design. I’ve never played that particular model, but I’ve only ever heard great things about it. I love the Jazzmaster body but since I learned to play on a Strat, and the Strat shape and tremolo is my preference. I owned a Classic Vibe JM with the Mastery tremolo kit and it was pretty sweet, but I always go to my strat.

Have fun.

Little known fact JMJM is a bachronym, and it's actually named that after the sound it makes when you palm mute the strings and just strum the bottom 3 like JMJM JMJM JMJM JUUUH

Picked it up from the shop today and I doubt I'll ever play my strat again. Took the arm off but I like how it just slides in and I don't have to screw it on and off like with my strat. PFG to play sitting down and very comfortable. All fawkin in.

I'm afraid after 25 your brain hardens and turns into a plastic and it can't learn new skills. You can pick up a banjo but you'll look like a fucking jackass and embarrass yourself, your friends will stop returning your calls, and a t-shirt will be made and sold in bulk with your photo holding a banjo and bold impact font saying "LOOK AT THIS DICKHEAD! LOL"

Maybe I'm thinking of learning a sport, fuck, I forget.
It doesn't get easier, that's for sure Turkster

Whoaaaaa! That’s sexy af. Love the classic blonde/desert sand colour with the anodized pickguard combo. Yeah the offset body shapes are perfect for playing sitting down. I don’t know if you’re on Reddit, but on the offset sub there is a whole “offsets on rugs” bit. Your pic would be perfect.

Glad you’re enjoying.

What type of picks do you people use? I picked up some Jazz III's and they rule. At first I worried they were too small but I got used to them pretty quick.

I like thin ones. My music teacher in HS used to scold me every time I lost them or took one home.

I must have lost a dozen picks ngl. Good memories.
