I know another brothaman posted something similar but I wanted to annoy everyone, so I’ll ask a slightly variant version.

I’m 33 and I wanna learn how to play the banjo. Played guitar as a teenager (MAAAANNN) and I think banjo would be cool to learn. Also looks like you don’t have to blow a lot of money to get into it.

Any of you fellas play banjo or mandolin? We can start a funster bluegrass band

I'm afraid after 25 your brain hardens and turns into a plastic and it can't learn new skills. You can pick up a banjo but you'll look like a fucking jackass and embarrass yourself, your friends will stop returning your calls, and a t-shirt will be made and sold in bulk with your photo holding a banjo and bold impact font saying "LOOK AT THIS DICKHEAD! LOL"

Maybe I'm thinking of learning a sport, fuck, I forget.

Just do it I say. I've been having a blast learning guitar and even caved and got a jazzmaster after only a month of playing.

Post your gear. Was the JM your first electric? Are you having any issues with the intonation or string height? Those tremolos on JMs and Jaguars are notorious for having tuning stability.

I play the BC Rich Demons with the humbucker 200 Floyd Rose neck. Plug it into my 50 kilowatt Marshall MegaStaxx and play the coolest high flying Victor Wooten metal solos.
