For about 14 years of my life I had to wear a tie for school or work. I normally dress smart for weddings and Christmas day and that's it. I didn't this year. I felt lazy. So I might do it more often.

Similar here. 5-13 standard English private school uniforms 5 days a week, blazer, tie etc. 13-18 basically Reservoir Dogs with different ties depending on house, sporting achievements, clubs etc. 18-21 - uni, I was an English preppy - rugby shirts, jeans/chinos and moccasins. 22-35 back to suits. Sold out in 2018. Wear whatever is most comfortable now. Shirt and shorts at home. Button down and khakis out. Throw on a blazer if the occasion calls for it.

My old man wore Oxfords or Brogues every day I can remember and his feet are all fucked up now. Arthritis etc. Wear comfortable shoes.
