They should have separated way before the 2014 chimpout. They couldn't stand each other's presence and had way different interests in broadcasting (Ant with the Rush Limbaugh breadcrums and hack jokes and Opie with the substanceless void that accompanies his existence).

They would say that they did it to protect the O & A "brand". But SXM gave them a whole channel and they could have put the legwork to smoothly divide the show, sacrificing a little bit of their present paychecks to prolonge their careers. And maybe acquire some decent experience in 21st century broadcasting (that Anthony severely needed).

But as historians have stablished, Nana is cripplingly shiftless and Opie is doggedly stupid.
