My favorite episode of Band of Brothers is when the one guy serves for 9 months and then gets booted from the army.

Do you really think the average Joe (no pun intended) in the US in 1941 or whenever you lot joined the war was fighting because they didn't like Hitler and thought concentration camps were barbaric? It's because the Japanese hit first and the general population joined up. A few Americans actually did leave to join the Canadian and commonwealth forces before the US joined up but I suspect they liked an adventure rather than doing it for deeply moral reasons.

The US was itching for war and one of the things they did was send navy ships to surround Japan and keep it from receiving oil shipments.

It’s very likely that Roosevelt knew Pearl Harbor was going to happen and allowed it to happen so as to enter the war.

The Japanese are all about honor and I don’t for a second believe that they didn’t formally declare war before Pearl Harbor. Wish I knew Japanese to research their side of it.

The general population wasn't.
Correct. When I said the US was itching for war, I meant (((leadership))). Roosevelt and Churchill were both controlled by the bankers.

There was apparently a vote very early on in US history for what the official language of the US should be: English or German. If we had chose German, I wonder how different WWII would have been.

Bonus: Moo is rocking some weird Michael Jackson gloves and is too lazy to even stand when he busks anymore!
The chair depresses me. He’s been relying on it for at least the last year. Guess as he keeps gaining weight, his knees and hips just can’t support his mass for more than a minute or two. How sad. It’s too bad he doesn’t know a diet ANYONE CAN DO that will make him look like an AIDS patient (no offense to AIDS patients 😎).

What kind of guitar player wears gloves? Has Joe's increased workload resulted in damage to his cotton-soft, work-avoiding hands? Or did the cool evening weather make his arthritic old hands hurt? It's definitely odd.
