Trump and Clinton bullied their way to the nominations. Trump won the Presidency. Come 2020 the Dems said “Alright lets not do that again.” The Dems options were slim pickings. Buttegieg, Klobuchar, Kamala, etc…ok, can’t go with those. So their viable candidates were Bernie, Biden, and Warren, three people old as sin. Couldn’t go with Warren because shes a woman and look how that turned out. Couldn’t pick Bernie because he’s a socialist jew. Biden it is!
So Biden wins 2020. He’s stubborn and doesn’t want to step down and has 0 real challengers anyway. Besides its basically a death sentence for the party in power for the sitting President to give up his seat. So Biden could be in a wheelchair and they’d still elect him. (Hell they ran FDR while he was dying…we have NEVER in the last 100 YEARS replaced a sitting President with a different candidate.)
The hope for the Republicans was that with Trump leaving office in disgrace and all of his criminal trials someone like Desantis, Ramaswamy, or Haley would pick up the reigns and have a GUARANTEED WIN against Biden. You can say they’re deepstate kikes but guess what? They’re not retirement age. Automatically people would vote for them over Biden.
But nope, again, Trump bullied his way to the nomination. So now we have two 80 year olds facing off against each other. Anyone who has a problem with this could have avoided it if we just picked SOMEONE besides Trump for 2024.

I actually think the opposite. Biden will win but by a smaller electoral margin than 2020. This is a seriously rare event in Presidential history. An incumbent has always won more electoral votes than when he got in since FDR (who declined each time he got a new term). The only one to break this trend? Obama, who got elected with 365 votes then reelected with only 332.
Biden then needs to be compared to other Democratic Presidents. Carter was one term. Clinton won overwhelmingly in his reelection, and as just described Obama won, but by less. Now Biden is sure as fuck no Clinton and he’s somewhere between Carter and Obama in perception.
Ok ok, so now we have to do my strong suite…MATH. Biden was able to win 2020 by flipping key “swing” states that Trump had won in 2016: MI, WI, PA, NV, AZ, and GA. Of these states the ones he’s most likely to lose are Arizona and Georgia, considering they lean more Republican anyway and only went to Biden by a margin of less than 1%.
However that still leaves Biden to win MI, WI, PA, and NV. All lean heavily Democrat and have for the last 20 years, only bucking this trend to elect Trump in 2016. And in the scenario he wins with these states, Biden eeks out a 276 victory, 270 if we don’t count Nevada.

I meant in the last 100 years the parties have never said “Yeah sitting President? We’re not giving you the nomination it’s going to some other guy”.
Just off the top of my head the last time this happened was maybe the 1800’s? Grant was supposed to run for a third term but the R’s went with Garfield instead.
