It was better than the super bowl trying to appeal to all the wives/gays that are watching against their will so they bring in Pink, katy perry type acts that hypes up nobody and most likely not what football fans even listen to. It just turns into 15min pee break.
i think they should stop with the compilations. If you want a band to play, just use that band. Don’t try to mix U2 and Kanye. Don’t add some broad, just use an all broad band. Or like last night, just have Snoop, Dre and Eminem, have them play three badly edited songs from 2001 and call it a night.

Why was 50 cent there? Kendrick Lamar had nothing to do with anyone in that group and Mary J Bliege felt very out of place.

Last year with just The Weeknd was a perfect example of how they should run it. Although I was half expecting Daft Punk to make an appearance during that show since they worked together recently and they were retiring.

Yeah it was such an odd mix. Personally I think they should've just kept it to Dre and Snoop. 50 Cent was so random and not even advertised. Mary and Kendrick felt out of place. Eminem wasn't even trying and looked like he didn't want to be there

That was a great one. My favorite one in recent years was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in 2007, but I’m a big Petty fan. I think the greatest one is Michael Jackson in 1993 tho. That kid-fucker could put on a show.
I'm not even a Petty fan and I thought it was the best halftime show for me personally. It showed some American pride. I'm not usually one for civic pride but when it's the Superbowl which is viewed world wide it doesn't hurt to show some pride for the nation being represented.

Needless to say I didn't watch the game halftime show or even a single commercial last night and in general in close to a decade. It's too much of a production for me to care about. Plus all the celebrity worship that's put on display throughout the night. It's annoying.

MJ’s super bowl show is overrated. It was grandiose but he didn’t even play most of his great songs. And spent the last five minutes surrounded by children.

I laugh at them because they're all the same.

I can agree with that. 50cent didnt need to be there forsure. Kendrick is from LA and way more current than the OGs so I didnt feel he was out of place. The mash up of groups does need to get shelved. It has proven to be mediocre at best.
