I have a gay uncle. He has two daughters and was married to a woman for a long time trying to make my grandfather proud. My mom said he's obviously been a fruit his whole life and my grandfather could tell and hated him for it and treated him like shit until he died. Their one brother died when he was 16 and my grandfather literally had a "why couldn't it have been you?" freak out on him like in the movies. My dad always called him my Aunt Bill.

I say all this because I'm pretty sure Joe Sr. called it. If Anthony wasn't in the public eye, he probably would've came out of the closet after his dad died and started bringing his extremely creepy "friend" Carl to family functions like my uncle.

Carl was profoundly creepy. He never said a word to anyone but my uncle and when he did, he had the most stereotypical fag lisp I've ever heard. He also stereotypically looked the part. Super short, creepy John waters face and mustache, short mullet, always wore those colorful patchwork buttondowns like guys used to wear in the rodeo. I have no idea what he did for a living.

I bought into the whole "Anthony is cool" thing for a very long time. Obviously, getting into the show in my late teens and early 20s, I thought he was the man. Partying at his mansion and getting laid all the time. What's not to like?

The young girl shit, much like his racism, seemed like a bit at first. But as we all found out, he was for real about both those things. I didn't really get gay vibes from him until the Sue stuff, though. I guess I just thought that the guy who did a show with Jim Norton for 20 fuckin years wouldn't care if the world knew he liked trannies or guys or whatever. Anything is better than children. It's kinda odd that of all his sexual proclivities he chose young girls to be his "bit." Because thats easily the most disgusting one of the three. I guess it's cuz they're girls?
