Its almost like he had no idea that the entire legal system is based off of billable hours
Hes on record with an esteemed journalist saying Resto didn't tell him if he lost theres a "very real possibility" he'll owe the defendant attorney fees.

Did he think he could just oink someone into spending $25k and not have any blowback? Lol. Hes like a special needs retard and I can't get over how fat he is

Resto never thought this would get to California court because he's incompetent and doesn't understand how defamation law, his own goddamn specialty, works.

I mean... say he uncovered a few names.
Say he gets Quasi and SpaceEdge. SpaceEdge confirms he gave the bulletin board exploit to Patrick, Brinton's helpfully filed an image of Patrick's use of said exploit with the court, Quasi confirms that Patrick did not have authorised access to the Secret Board, Fatrick gets five years in Federal Pound-Me-In-The-Ass-Child prison for breaching the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Or he just gets Quasi, and Quasi has a log matching his access; same deal.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation have described the CFAA as "draconian" and "disproportionately harsh" and point out that even first-time offenses can get the full five years; it's on the National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association's list of over-criminalised legislation. It's the legislation that lead Reddit co-founder Aaron Swartz to kill himself, rather than face the 35 years as a first offence he was going to get for copying documents he had legitimate access to.

I think a genuine tough guy like Patrick will do well in federal prison.

(SpaceEdge gets no charges, because he had authorised access to the Secret Forum; no harm, no foul)

He fucked around. Now he gets to find out.

Or as the kids say... play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

(These are two phrases Patrick has co-opted on his "I'm actually a Millennial, child" Twitter feed.)

Fuck around and find out is too associated with Bernie. Rick doesn't white knight anyone but establishment democrats like his beloved Joe, he's a backstabbing turncoat traitor if he used that phrase.

He has the mindset of a middle schooler. A middle schooler will gleefully spend $2500 buying in-app purchases on some mobile game. Press the button, get more coins, upgrade your virtual farm. When the bill comes, their parents will yell at them, they'll cry, but their parents will still pay the $2500 and the child can go back to bullying others in school.

That's Rick's plan. Someone will yell at him that he spent all the money, he'll cry, they'll take care of it, and he'll go back to bullying others on twitter. He's like Optimus Prime in how quickly he can switch from victim to bully back to victim.

There was a time when I thought this video was peek Pig-Saga.
What a sweet, simple, succulent little honeydew I was.
