I hate when people omit the relational words when talking about their parents to people who aren't their siblings. "Let me go ask Daddy" "Dad was a WW2 vet", etc. It's weird as fuck. Just add in the word "my" and you talk like a normal person. It really fucking annoys me for how minor it is. It makes someone sound retarded, and it makes me feel uncomfortable when they do it.
