Yes. I enjoyed my time overall. The camaraderie is different than any “civilian” job I’ve worked and I received a lot of career training I wouldn’t have had access to without it. It gave me a lot of structure at a time I needed it in my life.

Also, I enjoyed having to stay in shape as part of the job. Without that motivation I’ve gotten a bit doughier than I’d care to be.

Not much soldiers can do about the overall policies that determine their actions, so I don’t hold it against them. Some people are fully bought in to the narrative but there is a lot of dissenters as well.

I can't confirm or deny whether I was in the military, or whatever, because of some NDAs I have signed with some friends in the government who needed help, but let's just say I've served a hot plate of justice to a certain tyrant, cowering in his little bunker in the middle east after I popped his sons. Yeah, that shit was pretty cool, but to be honest, it's all a little corporate these days. I like my wars to be a little more raw, a little more indie, know what I mean?
