I think more retard movies is the solution, not fewer. I've been brainstorming some treatments, here's what I got so far:
Retardedly Yours, a light fun romcom. Think The Other Sister, but more focus on the hilarious mixups, like giving a bundle of dirty rebar instead of flowers, or a big bag of "dark chuh-choco-co-co-lit" charcoal briquets instead of candy.
Legally Retarded, a gritty courtroom procedural. Whose drool is that at the crime scene? Turns out it's everybody's drool, so the whole town is under suspicion.
A horror trilogy: Retar-DEAD, Retar-DEADER, and Back from the Retar-DEAD, not quite sure if the zombies are retards or the retards are zombies.
