I heard his daughter actually is trying to be a musician and the movie was basically an advertisement for her. It’s a shame because I liked the first trailer for it.

First trailer got me interested in it. "If they'll reveal he's the killer in the trailer, what are they saving for the rest of the movie?!"

Turns out it's plot holes.

his latest, “Trap” was laughably bad. He also cast his daughter who can’t act as a pop star

It was also supposed to be part of some new 'universe' or franchise but was edited out at the last minute. Like part of that whole Unbreakable and Mr. Glass series.
