The sexual revolution was a disaster for mankind. Yeah, we all enjoy getting laid. But taking sex out of its natural context has led to all kinds of negative consequences: broken families, women unable to pair bond after riding the cock carousel, STDs, abortions, health issues from birth control, infertility, population decline, certain communities having bastard children that raise hell in society, etc. People literally flushing their seed down the toilet and wondering why they think life has no meaning.

And it's not just bad for women either. I know a guy my age that's banged probably hundreds of chicks, and good looking ones too. But he's a fucking mess, trying to fill a void in his soul with cum. Wouldn't trade my life for his under any circumstance. Then you see childless fags like Patso calling people "incels", as if rubbing his little pud on his frumpy caretaker and creating meaningless friction is something to be proud of. What do you have to show for it, titty boy? Your lineage ends with you and once you kick the KFC bucket, all your Star Wars toys and unsold books get thrown in the dumpster.
100%. We're living in Sodom & Gomorrah.

Sir, I think I can deny that. Wrestling parallels capeshit movies for the same reason.

Like Erock calling Harry Potter movies "dark." They weren't that sophisticated, unless you're a kid. Then it's mind blowing and you want to fill your life with it. The fictional hierarchy and the hype are the only things you really have.
I'm not saying Batman and wrestling told "stories that defined a generation" or are literary works of art that will go down in history. Capeshit stinks and wrestling is carny. What I'm saying is that from a technical aspect or in their presentation, they were sophisticated enough to be legitimized in the mainstream's eye. The Batman movies are visually stunning. Doesn't make them great, but it's good enough for people to buy tickets to it whether they know much about Batman or not. In wrestling you had guys like The Rock who were more charismatic and larger-than-life than anybody else on TV, so it became acceptable to watch. The video packages were exceptional for the time, etc.

I'm not saying these products are sophisticated on the whole, just in their mechanics.

In 2001 to around 2005, WWE was arguably doing more "adult themed" shit than ever. WWF attitude was like satanic disney on ice, but WWE was like a parody of a sports league. They did more experimental shit during that era than any other time, and imo the reason for people tuning out was the randomness, and Triple H and Stephanie being god awful mary sue characters/ terrible writers.

I also contend that the wrestling video games getting worse have effectively destroyed the "mystique" of the brand. People used to think of wrestling as an un-ending portal to a world of hilarious retards and autistic freaks on roids. A limitless history and all these features to learn about... Now it's vanilla, reductive, self-hating, tame, fake, gay, making corny pop culture references.

I don't think wrestling is "niche," if executed correctly it potentially reaches more audience than any form of fiction, except music. People of all demographics, the content is self-contained, it can be translated to any language on the spot, it's easy to produce and always brings viewers.

However, the reputation it has is enough to make all that sound utterly worthless to most adults. Everyone who watches either doesn't get it, or gets caught up in the reality aspect and the faggot storylines never live up to hype/what could have been.
I agree with pretty much all of this.

Once they lost the competition, WWE also lost Rock and Austin and got lazy with the writing. They made boneheaded moves like having two world titles, they didn't make RVD a top star... they fucked up really bad. These practical problems didn't help but they didn't quite amend them.

I never thought about the decline of the video games though, but you're right about that. Their games were one of the best aspects of the entire product. Their games haven't been relevant in forever.

My man. He was the first one to get me thinking along those lines. Changed my life.

Banned from Amazon and kicked off of youtube but lots of videos on Bitchute. This was the first time I ever heard of his content. Kinda weird video but I liked it.

This one's a great one for every member here who hasn't seen it.

Jones changed my life too. Brilliant thinker and historian. I own a copy of The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit.

I kept watching out of habit into my late teens, simply because I was still playing Here Comes The Pain and Shut Your Mouth.
For years it kept me half interested and blind to how terrible it was.

The video games were so good they drove an entire generation of spergs to wrestle like video game AI.
As Russo and Cornette often complain.

Agreed. We probably had similar teenage years by the sounds of it.

I never understood why neckbeards hold such reverence for a dude that visibly didn't even want to be there.

A lot of it boils down to simple autism. They themselves are so bad at reading social cues that when they see a person who is particularly disinterested in their surrounds they falsely equivocate the respective behaviors.

That, and every neckbeard wants to be Too Cool For The Room Guy. I mean, look at Patrick. His whole life is wanting to be viewed as above everything - an arbiter of truth bringing down The Word Itself from the mountains to the masses. They think Han Solo is so cool in how he’s an asshole to people but so undeniably good at what he does that it’s acceptable. Except they unceasingly lack the talent and ambition to reach that level. Being a cunt is perceived as a merit badge and not a fundamentally unlikable series of character traits.

There are other factors, too.

WCW may have been complete shit for a long time, but it was still competition. Once Vince owned everything, the fighting spirit went away. They won the war.

Because of that, they stopped listening to the fans, and became like WCW for a while, where if you were young or from outside the brand, or if Vince didn't particularly like you and the fans did, you weren't going anywhere.

I remember a time where Christian had gone solo. The company was pushing Edge, but Christian was far more entertaining. He started picking a fight with John Cena, calling him a "Marky Mark wannabe," which was just so spot on. I was really looking forward to seeing what they would do with the feud.

What they did was make it a 3-way with Chris Jericho and Christian got buried. Behind the scenes, Vince was denying Christian amenities like first class flights when they were available, and Jim Ross was giving interviews saying they were successful because they "listened to the fans." I stopped watching about that time.

I recently watch the first ECW One Night Stand PPV from 2005 or 2006. That crowd was on fire, and united. I thought, "There is nothing like this today, not in sports, not in music, not even at a current Trump rally." We've really declined socially. There's no atmosphere as fun as that anywhere anymore.

Well, not for Whitey anyway. I wonder if that feeling is how blacks feel when they're looting.

Bad WCW was more watchable than past 15 yrs of WWE. At least a trainwreck is interesting. The 2001-2005 era was awesome. Shameless trolling and racebaiting. Nothing comes close to ECW in terms of rewatch value, it was almost a dark comedy for sperg wrestling faggots.

Like all autistic tweens, I used to bitch online about Vince burying wrestlers I liked... but I realized he's trying to make money.
To an extent I understand when he force pushes and buries people... It's his cartoon and he's picking the characters. I'd rather send John Cena to The Tonight Show to speak on behalf of my company than Christian.

That's how he thinks and he just made 1 billion a piece with (arguably) the worse possible content output of his life.
The company always prioritizes image before content, and it works... because retarded faggots will watch and be hyped no matter what.

Wrestling fans are consoomer socialists. They think only the people they like deserve to be successful, and will ignore obvious business fundamentals. They'd sooner throw money out the window just because a sketch on TV made them giggle more.

Can't argue with you there, at all.

It'd just be nice if they paid hardcore fans lip service every once in a while. But they're too mainstream.

And I watched WCW each week because it was a complete disaster. In that regard it was way more entertaining than WWF.

You're spot on about everything, but especially this. Christian was a great chickenshit and he may have been the one to feud with Cena, and could have prevented him from being booed because neither of them were established tippity-top guys. It perplexed me how they couldn't see that Christian was such an effective heel, but then they fed perennial favorite Jericho to Cena which soured the fans on him.

Remember when Christian was doing the white guy raps? I remember once he said something like "Triple H and Ric Flair, their legend still grows. 23 titles between them, and the world's biggest nose."

Both Cena and Batista got a great boost by going over JBL and Triple H, two guys the audience was sick of. It helped them. Cena working with guys like Christian and Muhammad Hassan (most underrated heel ever) would've helped him out early on. It all worked out of course, although years later they'd try and keep guys like Cena and Orton protected at the expense of the product.

Although WCW definitely sucked by 2000 (though not by today's standards) they did try and right the course by finally doing the right thing and making Steiner the champ. Everything he did was gold and they were about to slowly turn it around with him at the top. If nothing else, their cruiserweight division was always superior to WWF's.

From what I've heard, Vince is the big picture guy and everyone else he employs fills the gaps. I think he's right on the money when it comes to selecting guys like Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre etc. but for the last 15 or so years it's always been poorly executed or it takes years to find the right angle.

I think Vince was like any other guy in his 40s and 50s. When guys like JR told him about how good Austin and Foley were, he was probably like "yeah I'm not watching another wrestling show, I'm not that gay."

He's like any autistic boss, he makes control freak moves that alter peoples lives on a whim... but they signed up for it. He hires people but he really doesn't take their advice. He uses people for his own needs, often disregards their actual talents.

Roman Reigns was the last straw for me almost 10 years ago now, can't bare to watch wrestling now. They're a logistics company who train actors/actresses. WWE is going to be considered like Disney in 20 years. WWE Universe Theme Park with actors walking around dressed like The Undertaker taking pictures with families.
