I hear ya, but it would never work in reality. They'd almost immediately call upon the US government for support, who in turn would turn to the military. Then you have US soldiers doing all the dirty work while the private sector reaps the profits...
Think of it this way, what private sector do you know of that doesn't love a good "cost cutting" measure? Just my opinion anyway.
