Louis XIV won plenty of wars, they just weren't worth it and bankrupted the kingdom. Had he sat on his ass and not wasted manpower and money for 50 years France would have been in a stronger position to fight The War of Spanish Succession. He would have gained Spain, unified the crowns and ruled over half the world. Also the Austrians wouldn't have had to divert their focus from the Ottomans to the French and they could have pushed them out of Europe. Guy really was a fucking clown. Did build a nice house however.
