They usually publish the tentative rulings here check under law and motion:

But this ruling was about the continuance by the court. So I don't know if it means this ruling or the tentative one given by Stein to Schulman.

I'm not a lawyer, so I have no idea. You can see some of the other rulings there from today.

So looks like the court made a decision and will unpack it for both parties on the 30th? Is that what they do?

He said he was going to rule for Quasi unless they could provide proof Quasi personally defamed Pat in an actionable way. They didn’t on the first try and the second try just submitted the same shit again.

They don’t need a hearing today because he’s already decided to recommend that Quasi wins - the other judge won’t disregard his advice for Patrick’s weak shit by that mumbling bald Stav lookalike.

The only uncertainty is if they grant Quasi to be paid his legal fees, they should and probably will but there’s a chance they don’t force the issue as some kind of pity fuck for Pat.

If the answer is no, are lawyers allowed to dispute that on the 30th or do they have to go all the way through the appeals process? The law as it stands is that attorney's fees are mandatory. Hoping that got in there, but if not I hope they can tack those on without much drama.

Ok so dumbing it down didn't work. There is no final ruling made yet and both parties will argue the merits on the 30th to Schulman. It is possible that a tentative ruling was reached and the details aren't posted.

I said it was "moot" since a tentative ruling by a pro tem judge isn't binding. Only if both parties agree to the tentative ruling then it becomes final. Unless something is going on behind the scenes, where both parties received a ruling and agree to it then nothing has changed. I was pointing out the possibility of that, though it doesn't seem to be the case. Given the sunk costs of both parties they wouldn't agree to a ruling unless it was 100% in their favor so the 30th will be the decision.

Basically, this is what I was alluding to, but we don't know anything that isn't posted on the site.

I'm not a god damn lawyer so...

You don’t have to be a lawyer to know he hasn’t got a case at all. There is no way Quasi doesn’t win and everybody involved knows it.

That’s what it seems like, no point to have two lawyers try to present a case again since one side didn’t even try and has nothing new to show. That was the whole point of this court date and they submitted zero evidence of their previous claim. Pats team said they could show Quasi encouraged / orchestrated harassing reviews but he didn’t so there’s no evidence and Pats team was lying. Judge made his decision and now it will be show up for his ruling and order Pats team to pay. Case dismissed, child.
