This picture makes you wonder - how differently would he have turned out if Ade didn't leave, and he didn't Scooby-Doo away at half marathon speed at the prospect of raising a child?
Maybe she could have been a calming influence on him, tempering his extreme, fringe ideologies. Maybe raising a child would have helped him learn to be less selfish, and consider the welfare and feelings of others. Maybe the desire to see his daughter grow up and live an accomplished life would have compelled him to adopt a healthier lifestyle, resulting in a life of exercise, healthier dietary choices, and reduced caloric intake and alcohol consumption.
Maybe he would realize the need to provide for his family, inspiring him to pursue a career that not only rewards him financially, but also came with a generous benefits package. This would lead to not only a greatly reduced social media presence, but also working alongside others, which might also help him to realize that people with different ideologies are people too, and not necessarily the incarnation of evil. He and Adrienne could have couple friends, some of whom are Christian and conservative, which leads to gentle, friendly ribbing amongst friends.

Ade was into theater and artsy stuff in high school. My theory is that Pat did some dorky Shakespearian pickup line to woo her.
She was a small town girl with big city dreams, surrounded by meathead football players destined to husk corn for life. Pat was the only person that had aspirations of getting out of that podunk town. Also, that was before Patricks brain was broken by social media so he probably came off as a dorky yet normal guy.
