There were 2 gays guys in my school, at least openly gay ones that we knew about. They were literally referred to as Gay Craig and Gay David. and they used to get verbally berated everyday lol. I can only imagine what trannies would have got back then.

I remember in the very early 2000s, too, that scooters were big; the type you'd stand on like a skateboard, but it had a handlebar. You'd actually ride to your friend's house on one.
Also who can forget Pokemon cards and the Game Boy games. For many kids this was THE defining trend of the late 90s.
