There were "Moon Shoes" when I was a kid that I always wanted because they were advertised as being like what Hal's got in that clip. Apparently they were basically just ankle breaking contraptions. It was a way of getting early 90s kids used to having their pleasure turned into pain so when they got AIDS later on it wouldn't be so harrowing.

I did a thing on Halloween one year where I had crutches set to as high as they could go and I wrapped myself and the stilts/crutches in burlap and had a creepy skull mask on. It looked like I was some big monster on all fours. I just walked around my mom's yard scaring the shit out of kids and their parents. Kids cried. It was legit creepy as fuck.

One of my buddies had some so I gave it a whirl. I wouldn't say that it was easy to get them going but if you got into the groove it was PFG. I remember a few of my friends thought you could just walk and run as normal in them and failed badly but I approached it like having trampolines on my feet and did okay. Naturally everyone got jealous so Terry wasn't allowed to stunt on them with the moon shoes anymore.

As far as MITM… yea it was a great show. 1st two seasons are flawless.

The odd thing about the show thou is ‘Francis’. IRL he is the older brother of Danny from that 70s show. Rumor was he wasn’t allowed to be the younger cast members because most of the older members and some of the stage producers knew he was a fucking nut like his brother.

I HATE the last episode. Also I ended up disliking the Francis story lines since he never interacts with the other characters and it may as well be a different show. Also it made me attracted to that Arab looking bitch with big tits. Other than that pretty good show.

They could only have the kids working a certain number of hours a day due to child labor laws. So they needed to make the francis character to fill up 5 minutes of runtime each episode without the kids.
