I checked his contracts guidebook, it’s available online, they automate deduct federal taxes for all US nationals.

Joe will probably be bragging about his tax refund. Next year. He actually has to file a return but with the earned income credit and if he's claiming Layla as a dependent he'll get back as much or more than was deducted.

Even if he keeps every cent of his pay, 14k for working 7 days a week (even if it’s 35hrs a week) for 4 months is not good.

If he does it twice a year, he’s at sea for 2/3rds of the year alone in a tiny cabin to make 28k dollars lol.

I wouldn’t want to do that if I was 19, let alone 70.
