The conspiracy shit is shit. DC abides by Supreme Court decisions. DC abides by decisions made by the Congress. Anyone born in DC to immigrant parents would be considered a US citizen. So it’s inherently a part of the US even if it’s not a state

Their citizens get taxed but they literally have 0 say in the government, i.e, they don’t even have a voting representative in Congress. How is that fair. Puerto Rico is an entirely different circumstance as thats a territory, but DC is quite literally in the United States. So whats more evil. The Democrats who want to get another seat in Congress and retain power, but this ends up giving the people representation, or the Republicans who want to keep people from getting that representation because it would be a “win” for the other side. Quite the contrary in fact because they don’t seem to understand simple concepts like cutting taxes without cutting expenses is just another form of gibs. Or that going into a pointless war is just another massive government spending program and might as well be the same as starting a brand new federal agency.
The democrats will change any law or policy to drive their agenda. They do not give a fuck. They will do whatever it takes to win and then do whatever the fuck they want from there. My point is that if this country is going to move back center, it’s going to come from the left. We’d all be better off if republicans started switching to democrat and voting the communists like Bernie sanders out.

I think the problem now is that when Dems have control like they do now they’re able to keep a cap on the communists you mentioned. Biden is probably more center left than Obama or Clinton and doesn’t really appeal to the far left wing of the party (see: his oil drilling numbers and support for Israel). And because the Democratic party members are like Robots instead of speaking out against the President they step in line.
Conversely when the Republicans have control like they do in the Congress, the head of the party (wether it be Trump or Mike Johnson) can’t seem to get a cap on the far right wing of the party (see: retards like MTG lashing out at the speaker or Gatez ousting Mccarthy). And rather than telling them to vote with the majority or fuck off they basically try to compromise with them which doesn’t get anything done. I don’t see Biden sitting down with Ilhan Omar to get her views about Gaza. Why would Johnson sit down with MTG or Boebert to get their views on Russia.
