Doxies are fun but you can't only have one, I have mini one and looking for a buddy for him but puts you on a year long wait list and going for about 2500, they make the worst smelling dog farts, some how take up half the bed at nightOur dream is to have a corgi, dachshund, and two big bear-scaring dogs on our homestead. That would truly be living the dream.
You are so right; we'll probably get two or three Doxies if we can manage it. I figured a Corgi might be good company at first but then the Corgi would need another Corgi buddy! Doxies... aka wolf snacks. I can already picture one limply hanging out of each side of the huge smiling maw of the local alpha wolf. Coyote more likely but yeah.Doxies... aka wolf snacks. I can already picture one limply hanging out of each side of the huge smiling maw of the local alpha wolf. It's inevitable.
Meh, I have coyotes here, my backyard is state game lands whenever they come across yard or are near my pup can smell them, short hair or wire doxies have good noses they are really hunting dogs, his hair will go up on his back do his piss or shit then want right back in house especially at night, he sniffs the air carefully few feet away from house then walks out, more of a problem for him would be bobcats, my parents live on other side of mountain and have a family mom,dad and two babies on their property, their smell doesn't bother him, the bears a bark is enough so far to get them moving alongCoyote more likely but yeah.
Heartwarming moment this abandoned bovine learns it's just been adopted!
