I liked Salem's Lot, and that's basically it. The Shining has it's moments, but the Kubrick film vs. the 1997 miniseries really shows who had a better grasp on what makes the story work.
Insomnia is one of the biggest pieces of shit ever published, and the nerve of that asshole to make it a big part of The Dark Tower series is infuriating. Fuck him and his big connected universe. And making himself an important character in the series.

The Jaunt is a pretty rad story, they should make a movie about that.

His Ouija his great! Hill House got me a few times too, specifically the jump scare in the car with the dead sister. And agreed, there were some pieces of ass on that one. I really liked Bly Manor and Midnight Mass as well.
