Something that pisses me off about Christians. Can le religious experts confirm I'm right about this?

Whenever I'm on some Christian page, there will be a myriad of comments like "please pray for me because of X", or "please pray for me because of Y", and worst of all, "please pray for me because of Z".

Haven't these fucks ever read the Bible, where it makes fun of people for praying for specific things? It literally says to just do the Lord's prayer, because God already knows what you want so you don't have to pray for it.

FUCKING PISSES ME OFF. So many fucks haven't even read the first Gospel where it says that (I'm pretty sure it was in Matthew).

You’re supposed to pray for other people, and they’re supposed to ask for help. I know what you mean though, you don’t see “I’m going to set aside time and pray for others, would anybody like me to include them?”

Someone here did it for me, and it’s one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me lol. I’d rather somebody pray for me (and really mean it and do it and not just hollow words) than give me any sum of money.

It's a tough one, man. Genuinely. Asking for complete strangers to pray for you is pretty stupid and gauche but if it's family, friends, fellow parishioners, your priest etc. I think it's okay.

It probably comes from the ephesians passage about the armor of god. It says to pray for the lords people with all types of requests.
