I'm not embarrassed about anything I used to like.
When I was 12, 13 years old I was into a ton of nerd stuff like Dungeons and Dragons, graphic novels, cartoons etc. But that's exactly the age that you're supposed to be into that.
It's funny though, because I can look at fantasy art and there's part of me that remembers being 12 years old and thinking it's the coolest shit out there.
But also, there's a part of me that realises it's now the dorkiest thing I can imagine.
I think I do look down on men who are still into the same shit they liked when they were.... let's say 16 or younger. You're supposed to lose your virginity somewhere between 16 and 24. You're supposed to discover girls and drugs and partying and that's the good stuff. Why are you nostalgic for anything you did before 16?
Sometimes I'll look at a video of a computer game, or a Lego set, or some old TV programme and get an intense feeling of nostalgia that lasts about 2 seconds and reminds me of how it feels to be a child. But it's only 2 seconds.
I'm not going to collect unopened Lego boxes or comic books as an adult.
Say what you like about women, I think they have a point about cringey hobbies:
