At a conference in DC. Collapsed on the ground and was not breathing. They did chest compressions and hit him with the defibrillator for about 20 minutes before EMTs took him away.

Pretty chilling. You’d think despite all the TV and Internet consumed, our brains would be so fried that something like that doesn’t register. Take care of yourselves

I saw a dead guy in my neighborhood on the way to work a while back. It was still really cold outside and i noticed there was a man laying on the ground without a shirt on in his front walkway. As i got closer i noticed the ambulance there with all the EMTs just kinda moseying around, obviously not a good sign. As i approached the scene and got a good look, it looked like the girl in the closet from The Ring. His face was blue and greenish and his eyes were wide open and he frozen reaching towards the road. Never did find out what actually happened but he was older and fat so probably had a heart attack or some shit in the middle of the night and dropped dead trying to find help. If he looked normal, just dead, I probably couldve shrugged it off but the way he looked like a horror movie character was fuuuucking creepy and sticks with me.

When I was a kid my dad and I drove past a bad car wreck on a highway where a car went under the back of a big rig. My dad was like "holy shit, don't look" so I looked. Person was decapitated.

Another time I was standing out front of my old apartment having a cigarette and a van sideswiped a bunch of parked cars right in front of me and stopped. I guess the guy had a heart attack but by the time the van stopped the guy was dead as fuck. I didn't try giving him CPR or anything. I just called an ambulance. I should've taken his wallet and rifled through his van.

It sucks but you're lucky you didn't have to witness him die in a violent way like getting shot or stabbed. That'll give ya the PTSD.

Years ago I was at a casino. I was in the “high rollers area” (I’m not a high roller but my buddy was going nuts), and this fat sweaty Greek guy covered in gold jewellery was just taking an absolute beating. He went to the bathroom and never came out. Long story short paramedics came and wheeled his dead body out of there as degenerates continued their gambling. Guy’s heart just gave out on him.

One morning when I was like 21 I was walking through a shit neighbourhood and I saw a suicide case that had jumped off a balcony over night. He was all mangled up, blood coming out of his nose and eye sockets, just awful.
