Sampling in rap is just cheating

If you change the sample enough, it can be good.

Just look at Gangsta's Paradise, even Stevie Wonder was proud with how they flipped the sample from Pastime Paradise from a melancholic atmosphere into a straight hostile tune.

There's some song by Parliament Funkadelic that's been turned into like 200 well known rap songs.
There are multiple Parliament and Funkadelic songs that have been pulled apart and recycled for 30 years. I was listening to AMC and Geto Boys and it's crazy how rap kind of progressed and now is regressing to pure primordial slop. It's amazing how little care was taken care of one of the newer types of music.

Well yeah, everyone sampled the shit out of Pfunk 1000s of times but I'm just saying it's so crazy to the point where even just one of their songs was able to turn into 500 rap songs.

It's amazing how an entire culture was destroyed in the 90s. Ever watch Soul Train? Where did those black folks go?

I blame white people. They should of stayed afraid. I also blame blacks. They should of whipped the fuck out of every wigger that tried to buddy up. There should of been wigger hunts instead of knock out games. Jew wiggers are the answer to all of modern black problems.

WWAWD DJ Shadow? He’s pretty good for using samples

Portishead did it as well. The multitude of shitty rap songs that butcher the samples does give it a bad look

Paul’s Boutique too, talk about samples haha

He sample pretty gud, what some dem other DJs we got? RJD2oo...

Reminds me; I've got a half-finished Fatrick remix in my project folder with something ripped from a latenight R1 DJ Shadow set. I should probablyy complete that

Both are good. Underrated to me is Public Enemy's Bomb Squad. They were utilizing techniques found more in avant garde circles than hip hop such as musique concrete.
