I buy a set amount of Bitcoin every month when I get paid, whatever the price is. I don’t check or care what the price is, I just buy whatever it will get. Then eventually I move it to my cold storage wallet I keep hidden in my house.

This is the way.
How does one get into cold storage, btw?

You're a month late on all the "hedging against inflation" takes, its also wrong.

Crypto is trading as a tech stock right now because it's inherently tied to the underlying tech companies and markets. It's a long term hedge, and its a gamble. It's not ubiquitous enough to be purely a commodity and it's too technical to be divorced from the tech stocks. You can't just sell it like gold. You need an exchange, like coinbase for 99.9% of retail investors who don't want to manage their own wallets.

Oh and by the way, gold is down as well. is gold also volatile you retard.

Its almost like this idiot couldn't pass basic high school classes.
Are you the kind of Indian who where's a suit with a turban?

Crypto was supposed to be a currency outside of government meddling, which it is. It was never supposed to be a hedge, and it's nothing like gold, because it's not tied to anything of inherent aesthetic or industrial value.

Fuckin' dumbass.

A long term hedge against what though, in your view. Fiat? Commodity? Consumer confidence?

Someone post this on crypto reddit, they’ll list 100 reasons why he’s incorrecT and he will seethe about that. I’m IP banned and don’t know dick about the internet so I can’t do it

there’s lots of ways, I buy on Coinbase, then send it to my cold wallet from there, then I put it on a hard drive I keep hidden.

have to absorb the fee’s but it’s worth it imo

I love the media focusing on crypto’s volatility as such an outlier but just shrugs at the currency fluctuations going on due to inflation.

I’ve lost close to 40000USD off my salary in the last two years living in Europe… that sure sounds like significant volatility to me and in one of the more trusted global currencies. But sure… BITCOIN IS DANGEROUS

Thankfully, Pat, I’m well-off and not fat.
