That's because everything in Ant's life happens to him. He has almost no experience doing something of his own initiative. Bro Joe pushed him on Opie, Opie was the only one who did any negotiation for 20 years, KtC pushed him to do Compound. He doesn't view his actions as his own, they happen to him. He can't be sorry for Dani making him bite her.

Yes. Nana is purely reactionary. He reacts to things, and that's it. Anytime he ever initiated any kind of discussion, it was always FNs, underage girls, or his retarded nigger-rich debauchery. Otherwise, he chimed in with his zingers, quips and one-liners, but he always needed to have the stage set for him, and the ball already on the tee.

Then when he struck out on his own, he put nothing into his show at all. He stuck to an old format (host behind a cornball old desk) and assumed he'd just bullshit with guests like he did on O&A, but he didn't have anyone to tee it up for him, or keep the show on track and moving forward. So he just sits there, tittering like a retard, and never knowing what to say next.

Every interesting thing about Anthony we already know. And some of it was not even revealed by Anthony himself. His childhood stories? Told on O&A. His marriage and divorce? Already heard on O&A. His career before O&A? Was air conditioning so no one cares. His career highlights and lowlights are conveniently compiled and available on the internet. He personal life including the most humiliating and embarrassing moments like being caught with Sue Lightning or beating his girlfriend and getting arrested are known to the entire O&A audience already.

What could Anthony write about and actually get people to care about? His homosexuality? His father abusing him? His heart attacks? His fake relationships with women to appear straight? His backstabbing of Opie? Why he was honestly out at 3am taking photos of scaffolding? He would never be honest about those and is likely completely in denial and fully delusional.

I have that book somewhere, along with some of the books by Robin Quivers, Howard Stern and Jackie Martling. I'll read the Cumia book when I've finished all the others. Even if there is likely not one word of truth in any of them, they'll still be more interesting to read.
