He stopped? There's no doubt in my mind that if there's some sort of seTTlemenT, Rick will claim he got money from someone. Even if he paid Quasi in full. That's what the NDA is for. So he can oink about it on Twitter. "The atalkers paid me in the end, child. I'm sorry you're stupid." He'll go right back to being an absolute cunt on Twitter as well.
Maybe they’re unaware and would appreciate being informed?Good point. I wonder if Minc Law is comfortable with the significant risks they’re taking with the fabricated evidence, use of hacked information in a frivolous case, and arguably lying to Judge Ashley (or, in the best case scenario, extreme ignorance of his case). I realize that Fatrick and his backers have paid a lot of money to the firm, but is disbarment worth it? Minc Law, comment?
The funny thing is even if that’s what happened. Pat still can’t claim a win. He’s spent months/years telling everyone that people are going to jail. If these sight still exists and no one goes to jail it’s tough even for someone as delusional as Pat to call it a win.I would say Federal hacking charges qualify for a disbarment hearing, but Quasi would probably need to press charges to it to stick.
***Tin foil hat thermite paint speculation time**
Bresto, knowing his silly little career is in peril from several giant missteps in this case, approached Fatso and told him they need to quietly settle with Quasi. Fatso, being advised that the LOLsuit has gone nowhere and never will, agreed on the condition that the “idiots” can’t know that we won. That’s what the NDA was. Look at who benefits:
- Quasi gets this over with and gets his legal fees paid and an agreement of no further action from Fatass or the SFWA (or whoever is paying Fatass’ bills). Quasi is the man.
- Fatso gets to sign an NDA and feel like a big boy. Due to the settlement being sealed, he can claim victory even though he lost. When challenged, he can correctly (and obesely) point to the NDA
- Bresto is the big winner because Minc still gets paid but his alleged illegal use of hacked information, his prevarications to Ashley, and any other chicanery related to the LOLsuit is swept away. His legal ‘career’ survives to wipe more predators’ records from the internet, endangering children and future victims…but hey, he gets paid so he doesn’t care.
The pieces seem to fit. We may or may not know more in a week. Thoughts?
