Comedy movies are pretty much dead. You get Kevin Hart acting wacky and that's that.

Succeed on SNL, get your own comedy series. Ted Lasso, 30 Rock, Parks & Rec, Brooklyn 99, Barry.
It’s crazy how comedy movies are not even a thing anymore, I think the last really big funny comedy was the first hangover (which I think beat Beverly Hills Cop’s box office record) I was just thinking about it and Will Ferrell’s last funny movie was the other guys.

This Rob Sheffield guy seems like a huge faggot (perhaps an even bigger one than Patrick and Chris Kattan. Sheffield also had Colin Quinn listed at 140.

What's this guy's problem?

He has such comedy luminaries like Jay Mohr, Charles Rocket (known more for killing himself than SNL), Tony Rosata (a real who the fuck is this guy?), Finesse Mitchell (who flat out did jackshit on SNL), listed higher than Norm.

I can't go on as the list is too fucking retarded to continue. I understand writing these lists for clicks and trying to be a contrarion/hair puller of sorts to generate heat, but Rolling Stone might as well have had a legitimate retard write the list. He'd probably do it for pennies and it would make more sense.

1) Phil Hartman 2) Eddie Murphy 3) Dan Akroyd 4) Jon Lovitz 5) St. Norm 6) Chris Parnell 7) Chris Farley 8) Kristen Wiig 9) Adam Sandler 10) Kenan Thompson

Edit: forgot to add Farley and edited out Hammond the lesser Clinton. Sorry, Phil. And sorry you got a bullet in your head. Namaste.

Edit: can’t believe I left out Colin. As if the man himself would give a care.

Nigga it died 20 years before that
It was on life support for years, you’d get a couple good people here and there but that was the nail in the coffin. I remember they once sang to Obama about how much they love him (even saying “don’t go!”) but the Hillary piano as a whole somber feelings moment was it. The 9/11 episode had more cheer

21 Jump Street is the last one I remember as a pure comedy. Maybe Wolf of Wall Street if you stretch the definition

I can’t remember the last time anyone said “did you see that funny new SNL skit?” Def nobody under 30 watches it. I think the last funny person I saw on there was Bill Hader.
The only person I know is a goy in his 50s who married a shrew of a jewish wife. Poor guy has nothing else in his life other than memories for when SNL was good decent enough.

The last funny thing I remember seeing was that Rosetta stone parody commercial where the people were talking about what languages they wanted to learn and why. One of the guys was some creepy pervert who wanted to learn Thai. It was pretty funny. The only reason I saw it was because people were complaining about it. I haven't watched the show in years.

I think the early to mid 90s cast was the best, they always say it was the original but the 90s cast had so many great talents. Hartman, Carvey, Nealon, Sandler, Farley, Spade, Schneider, Myers, Norm, Hammond, Meadows, Rock. You’ll never see that much talent together anywhere, you had guys who could write and perform as well as Farley who everyone wanted to write for. Really sucks Hartman’s wife had to be a psycho and kill him.
